Get Involved

Woodend Landcare is a not-for-profit, environmental community group run by a team of dedicated volunteers. We aim to enhance the natural environment within and around Woodend through, improving biodiversity corridors, restoring waterways, and protecting endangered species, all-the-while increasing the liveability of our town.

We always welcome newcomers at our working bees, new members into our group and financial donations from individuals, businesses or other groups who are unable to donate their time to help our cause.

Thursday Crew working bees are held every Thursday morning at different venues around Woodend during most of the year.  Please contact please contact Dave Bower or Anthea Ryall at woodendlandcare@gmail.com for more information and to get on the weekly email list to know where to meet.

Monthly Sunday Working Bees are held on the fourth Sunday of the month at various locations around town. Check out our calendar of events to see where and when they are being held this year. Become a member, follow us on Facebook or subscribe to the blog to receive notification of working bees.

Become a member

This is the best way for you to show your support to Woodend Landcare. Our annual membership fee is $20 per household for the financial year. This helps us to cover the cost of items such as insurance for volunteers at our working bees and sundries, enables you to vote at our AGM, and adds you to our communication list for activity and information mailouts. Importantly, the more members Woodend Landcare has, the greater our ability to obtain grants and other support.

You can renew your membership or make a donation by electronic transfer (please include your name in the transaction) to:

Account name: Woodend Landcare Inc.

Every little bit helps

Thank you for supporting Woodend Landcare, financially, actively at working bees, or both.  All support, no matter how big or small, helps to make a difference in our environment and the myriad of native animals and insects who also call Woodend home. The more volunteers we have at working bee’s, the greater difference we can make. But none of it would be possible without financial support behind the scenes.
