Woodend Landcare – October News

Working Bee – 27 October

Our next Sunday working bee will be held on the 27th of October from 9am till 12pm. The location is the Envirofund paddocks on the South bank of the creek. Parking is at the end of Wood St near the gymnasium. Look for the working bee sign and the blue works trailer. This is the area where Woodend Landcare has done the most rehabilitation work in the past and it is time for a maintenance visit.

Tasks include woody weed removal of gorse, broom, blackberries and some oak seedlings. Some plant guard maintenance is required and some checking of the ornamental trees planted by us some years ago so plenty of work for everyone. Wear sturdy footwear, full length protective clothing, eye protection, gloves and bring along secateurs. Morning tea is provided and newcomers are welcome. Contact woodendlandcare@gmail.com for further information.
