This is reminder that the next Sunday working bee will be concentrating on the Tennyson Street willow removal area where the recent plantings need clearing around by first carefully locating the plants, stomping the grass down and then whipper snipping around them. Nearby there are some areas requiring plant guard removal, some cutting and painting of woody weeds and some other recent plantings requiring whipper snipping.
Sunday 26 October from 9 am to 12pm.
Parking is at the Southern end of Tennyson St.
The Landcare trailer will be onsite and morning tea will be provided.
Bring your own gloves, sturdy footwear, sun protection, eye and ear protection if using machinery, secateurs, knife, whipper snipper etc. There is a range of tasks at this site so a good attendance would be appreciated.
Newcomers are also welcome to attend and help improve the creekside environment.
