From 9am Community planting at Woodend Children’s Park – all help welcome.

Please wear sturdy boots and gloves. Bring a friend or three.  Morning tea provided.
All week – Landcare display at Woodend Library.

‘Caught on Camera’ project: the Victorian National Parks Association, will guide us through captivating fauna images and project results from their volunteer-based wildlife monitoring project in Wombat State Forest.

Afternoon tea follows. All welcome. Gold coin donation.

Trees for Mum Sunday 10 May 9am to 12pm

TFM-34We’ll be handing out native trees at the Mother’s Day Classic event in Woodend’s Children’s Park on Nicholson Street on Sunday 10 May from 9am to midday.

Come along and collect your free tree to plant in your garden or in your special place.

If you’re walking or running in the Classic and would like us to save you a tree to pick up after the event please email treesformumwoodend@gmail.com or contact Angela Van Dam on 0409 373 010.

Lake Earnshaw unveiling, 23 October

Woodend Landcare invites you to a planting session and unveiling of historic Lake Earnshaw. This 1920s swimming hole has been lovingly reclaimed thanks to lots of hard yakka from Landcare’s Thursday Crew!

  • Thursday, 23 October 2014
  • Planting from 10am to 11am followed by a late morning tea.
  • Please arrive at 9.30am if planting.
  • BYO gardening gloves and sturdy shoes.
  • Lake Earnshaw, access via Jeffreys St or Davey St.
