Working Bee Sunday, 25 May 2014

The final working bee before the winter break will be on Sunday at the levee bank in Heron Street from 9am to midday.

The aim is to tidy up the planting site next to the levee bank which requires lots of whipper snipping, plant and plant guard maintenance, removal of redundant plant guards, cutting and painting of nearby woody weeds and rubbish collection beside the creek.

This site is looking unloved and is in a highly visible area to the public so we’re after plenty of helpers!

Morning tea will be provided. Please wear suitable clothing, footwear and bring some gloves. Eye and ear protection are mandatory for anyone using a brushcutter/whippersnipper. The Landcare tool trailer will be on site.

Any questions please contact David Gossip 5427 4117 or woodendlandcare@gmail.com

We’ll be taking a break over winter and the next Sunday working bee will be at Slatey Creek Reserve on Sunday, 24 August.
